This young girl has been named Blessing by NPYT. When she was found in 2006 we estimated her to be about 4 months old.
She had been abandoned in a polythene bag in Section 19 of Kitale town and we have been unable to find any of her family.

Agnes Sharon is 10 years old and hails from Namanjalala village in Kwanza District. NPYT conducted a home visit as she had been placed at Birunda Rescue Centre by the Kitale police, having become lost looking for her grandmother. That was in May 2009. On reaching her home at Namanjalala her parents could not be traced and the neighbors said that they did not know where they had gone. Her mother's name is Gladys Nasimiyu and the father is called Amigo Ernesti. We would like to trace either of them and her grandmother Jerita Mukwana who hails from Cherangany

Kali was taken to Mois Bridge police station by a good Samaritan who had found him wondering near the town in 2006. From there he was referred to NPYT and has been with us ever since. Despite frequent efforts to find his home we have so far failed. He is now about 15 years old now, he is an active young man and a good goal keeper.

I want to go home

Isaac Wanjala was found lost at the bus stage in Kitale town in January 2007. He was referred to the Kitale police who brought him to Birunda Rescue Centre. He was then about 7 years old. He says his fathers and mother names are Julius and Mary Wanjala and that they work on a tea plantation. He mentions Kericho, Sabwani and Uganda as being his home although does not know the name of his village. Subsequent attempts to trace his family been in vain. He walks with a slight limp.

Samson, as named by NPYT, was found lost near Kitale Showground on first of July 2009. He was carrying a catapult and so, we assume cannot have been far from home. He is mentally challenged though we have managed to teach him how to speak since he joined our rescue centre. We estimate he is about 12 - 13 years old though he cannot give us any information as to his origins
